Ray and his team completed the ceilings in a weekend

Here is the Tuesday group of Nature Corridors after painting their area of the Pavilion. Dave said, ‘we look like scientists from the Bill but the painting was brilliant.’ Alec said, ‘we really worked hard. The paint was quite interesting because it had to be mixed well.’ Ed: The paint is a new product from Nature Paint which is eco friendly and was supplied for free. It arrived in packets which have to be carefully mixed with water, left to ‘cook’ for 20 minutes and then applied.’

The Thursday group of Nature Corridors put a second coat on two other areas of the Pavilion. Jackie said, ‘ I really enjoyed it because it was good fun.’

The Undercroft was difficult work as the paint had to be specially mixed and was hard to put on. It is very expensive! It will act as a damp proof and will also stop bacteria from a flood seeping into the brickwork. It was worth doing but it was a long and difficult job by several volunteers over two weekends.
