Trust makes bid for final £170,000

Date: 12/12/2008
Our two major donors are Viridor Environmental Credits, who recently doubled their funding offer to £300,000, and the Mettyear Charitable Trust, which is promising £250,000. But the Trust must raise a further £170,000, to be able to construct the building it wants. Separately, the Trust has raised £82,000 locally which it has spent on designs, planning permission, building regulations and an initial tendering process.
Chairman, John Parry, says "the founder sponsors cannot be expected to hold their money beyond January 2009 as they have already given us an extra year to find the money, for which we are very grateful."
